“Inspired by nature, I am drawn to the wild places, to woodlands, seashores and surging streams tumbling down from the mountains. I love the textures of bark, moss and lichen, the ever changing patterns of water swirling around pebbles. I’m fascinated by the elemental beauty of weathered surfaces.”
Ferns, Ivy, Oak, and Ginkgo leaves, seed pods and acorns all feature in Stephen’s silver and gold designs, lovingly hand made in the studio at Simcha Gallery. Natural forms and textures are evoked using traditional metalsmithing techniques to make rings, bracelets, pendants and earings in free flowing, and organic designs, that appear both ancient and contemporary.
For 20 years, Stephen has been making exquisite Wedding and Engagement rings, design collections such as Wild Wood and Moon Shadow, and, upcycling my customers’ heirloom jewellery, to make fresh new designs.
